To enhance the educational experience at Planet Bee, we offer a variety of informative presentations and experiences to match your group's needs.
Summer Drop-in Presentations

11:00am + 2:00pm: "Basically Bees" - 20-30 minutes - $8.00 / person (3 and up) - Great for all ages.

12:00pm (noon): "All About Bees" - 1.25 hr - $15.00 / person (3 and up) - Recommended age 13+ depending on interest in the subject. Includes a personalized 150g jar of local honey for each guest ($5 value).

Presentation Options:

"Basically Bees": 20-30 minutes. Topics covered includes species of bees, the lifecycle of the honey bee, and pollination. Kid-focused presentation, most popular with elementary school groups.

"The Amazing Honey Bee": 45-60 minutes. Includes all topics above, plus raising a new queen, swarming, honey, and the current plight of the honey bee. Offers more intermediate and advanced topics for middle and high school groups.

"All About Bees": 1.25 hours+. Includes all topics above plus pollen, royal jelly, propolis, and mead. Time permitting, we are happy to expand into any other areas of interest related to bees.
- Mead Tastings (19+ only): Available to groups for a $3.00 deposit, refundable with each mead purchase.

Included with all drop-in presentations:
- Guided viewing of our indoor observatory hives. Now that we have a new understanding of the inner workings of a colony, let's see if we can spot the queen, guard bees, and if we're lucky, a live bee dance!
- Assisted honey tasting of our 20+ varieties of honey.
- Upon request and weather dependent: Guided walk-through of our bee-friendly garden.
